One application, two worlds#

The classic choice has been either a server-side application, which is simpler to maintain, or an SPA, which feels smoother to the user. This project needed both.

The challenge#

The server-side logic - permissions, validation, data integrity - had to stay in one place. At the same time, no action should mean reloading the whole page.

The solution#

Laravel holds the backend and all the business logic, Vue takes care of the interface, and Inertia joins them into a single application without building a separate API layer. Fewer moving parts means fewer places for things to drift apart.

What changed#

• An SPA-level experience without maintaining a separate frontend application.
• The logic stays in one place - validation and permissions remain on the server, where they can be trusted.
