Cookies and consent

The short answer: we ask before anything loads. Until you have chosen, rixio.ee stores no analytics or marketing cookie in your browser at all. Refusing is exactly as easy as accepting - one click - and you can change your mind at any time.

What you can choose

• Necessary - spam protection on the forms, and remembering your language if you switch it. Without them a form cannot be submitted and the choice cannot be remembered, so they cannot be switched off.
• Analytics - Google Analytics. It shows us which pages work and where visitors arrive from. We look at totals, not at the journeys of individual people.
• Marketing - Google Ads and Meta. Measuring which ads bring enquiries, and avoiding showing you the same ad over and over.

Analytics and marketing are off by default. Nothing is pre-ticked.

What happens before you consent

The honest answer, because this is the part most sites stay quiet about. Google's script does load before you choose, but in a restricted state: it stores no cookie and sends no identifier that could recognise you. What it sends is an anonymous signal, from which Google estimates statistically how many visits went unmeasured. This is called consent mode, and we use it so that advertising can be measured without tracking any individual visitor.

If you accept, the same tools switch to their normal state and store cookies. If you decline, everything stays restricted and no cookie is ever created.

What we don't use

• A cookie wall. The content is exactly as available if you decline.
• External web fonts. Every typeface is hosted on our own server.
• Patterns that nudge you towards accepting - the accept and decline buttons are identical.

Spam protection on the forms

When a form is submitted we use Cloudflare Turnstile to check that it isn't a bot. That may store a technical token in your browser, which the check needs in order to work. The token is strictly functional: it is not used to identify, track or profile you.

Links to other sites

Articles carry sharing links for LinkedIn and X. These are ordinary links - before you click one, the page sends nothing at all to those services. Once you have clicked, that service's own terms apply.

How to change your mind

Every page has a Cookie settings link in the footer that reopens the same dialog. Your choice is stored in your own browser rather than on our server, and we ask again after six months. For questions, write to hello@rixio.ee. See also our privacy policy. Last updated 5 September 2026.
