A website you don't have to think about.
A website isn't finished when it launches. Updates, backups and monitoring are dull work that nobody notices until it hasn't been done. We do it in the background so you can get on with running the business.
When to get in touch
The problems this service solves
Updates are years behind
Every version skipped makes the next update riskier. We update regularly and test beforehand rather than afterwards.
Nobody has ever restored the backup
A backup that's never been tested isn't a backup. We keep copies somewhere separate and verify that restoring works.
Faults are discovered by customers
Without monitoring, an outage surfaces when somebody phones. We watch uptime and errors and react before that.
Small changes sit in a queue
If every text correction needs its own quote, the site stops moving. An agreed monthly allowance covers ongoing changes without negotiating each one.

How maintenance works
- 01
Review
We go through the current build, the hosting, the versions and the backups, and establish where things stand.
- 02
Putting it right
We bring versions up to date, set up backups and monitoring, and fix whatever is most urgent.
- 03
Ongoing maintenance
Regular updates in a staging environment, security checks, and day-to-day content changes within the agreed allowance.
- 04
Further development
Larger pieces of work are planned separately and done when they have a clear purpose.

CARE PLANS
Choose the cover, not the site type
Plans differ by response time and monthly allowance, never by what kind of site it is. A quiet store with thirty stable products really is a two-hour site, and it should be able to buy the two-hour plan.

In every plan
- Software and plugin updates
- Backups, and checking that they restore
- Uptime and error monitoring
- Updates tested before production (Standard and above)
- For a store, the order flow and payment and shipping modules watched too
The hours are for content and smaller changes; updates, backups and monitoring come with the plan regardless. Unused hours do not carry over. Recovery after an attack or a major failure is agreed separately - which is fair to both sides, because one such month would otherwise swallow a year of cover.

Frequently asked questions
Yes, maintenance and support is one of our core services: updates, backups, security checks, monitoring, performance work, content changes and ongoing development. The scope is agreed to match the size of the build.
Yes, provided the build is in reasonable shape. We start with a review of the versions, the hosting, the backups and the quality of the code. If we find a site that can't be maintained safely, we say so before signing anything, not three months later.
Regular updates, backups, security and uptime monitoring, and an agreed allowance of day-to-day content and technical changes. Larger pieces of development are quoted separately, so the monthly fee stays predictable.
Response times are agreed as part of the service level. A site being down is always the highest priority, and monitoring usually tells us before you notice. Smaller changes move through the normal queue.
You can. We hand the build over with documentation and explain what needs doing regularly. Some clients keep content management in-house and buy only the technical side from us, which is a perfectly sensible split.
