Data protection
Privacy policy
How we collect, use and protect the data sent through rixio.ee.
Rixio Digital takes personal data seriously. This page describes, in plain language, what rixio.ee collects, what it is used for and what rights you have.
Who processes the data
The controller is Rixio Digital. For any privacy question, write to hello@rixio.ee. Location: Tallinn, Estonia.
What we collect
The project enquiry form. We collect only what you type into it yourself: name, email address, company name, phone, the kind of solution you selected, budget range, preferred timeline and your description of the project. Company, phone, budget and timeline are optional. You may also attach a file, which travels with the enquiry along the same path.
Newsletter signup. If you subscribe to the newsletter we store your email address and the time you subscribed. The form asks for nothing else.
Server logs. Like any website, our hosting records technical logs: IP address, browser type and the time of the request. We use these only for security and for diagnosing faults.
Spam protection. When a form is submitted we use Cloudflare Turnstile to check that it isn't an automated bot. That sends Cloudflare a challenge token and an IP address. This check is not used to profile visitors.
Why, and on what basis
We use the form data only to reply to your enquiry, prepare a quote and ask any clarifying questions. The legal basis is taking steps at your request prior to entering into a contract, together with our legitimate interest in responding to business enquiries. We do not use this data for marketing and we do not pass it to third parties for the purpose of selling anything.
The newsletter
Subscribing to the newsletter is voluntary and entirely separate from whether you have sent us an enquiry. The legal basis is your consent, which you give by submitting the signup form. We send notifications about new articles only - a couple of emails a month, with no sales offers - and we do not pass addresses on to anyone.
Every email carries an unsubscribe link that removes you from the list in one click. You can do the same by writing to hello@rixio.ee. Unsubscribing takes effect immediately and the address is removed from the list.
Who else sees the data
We use the following providers to deliver enquiries:
- Resend - delivering the form contents to our inbox by email, and holding the newsletter subscriber list and sending its emails.
- Netlify - website hosting and server logs.
- Cloudflare - the spam check when a form is submitted.
- Google - website statistics and advertising measurement, where you have consented to it. Google may process data outside the European Union, relying on the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.
All of them process the data on our instructions. Beyond these we share the contents of an enquiry with nobody, except where the law requires it.
How long we keep it
Your address stays on the newsletter list until you unsubscribe. We keep enquiries for as long as it takes to answer them and talk a quote through. If no work follows, we delete the correspondence within two years at the latest. If a project does start, the retention periods set by the contract and by accounting rules apply instead.
Cookies and tracking
rixio.ee uses analytics and marketing cookies, but only once you have agreed to them. Before you choose, none of them are stored in your browser. The web fonts are hosted on our own server. There is a fuller description of what each tool does, and of what happens before consent, on the cookies and consent page.
Your rights
You have the right to ask what data we hold about you, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict its processing, to object to processing, and to receive your data in a machine-readable form. Write to hello@rixio.ee and we will reply within one month. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you have the right to contact the Estonian Data Protection Inspectorate (aki.ee).
