Listings that keep themselves current
An estate agent's website is worth exactly as much as the listings on it are up to date. A stale listing does more damage than a missing page.
The challenge
The listings live in KV.ee. Copying them across by hand would mean duplicated work and guaranteed discrepancies - particularly when a property sells and the website doesn't know about it.
The solution
We wrote an integration that reads the KV.ee XML feed every day: new listings are added, changed details updated, and properties that have disappeared are archived automatically. On the site, listings are filtered with AJAX, so searching doesn't reload the page.
What changed
- Nothing is entered by hand - the feed keeps the listings current on its own.
- Old properties don't linger - archiving happens automatically as part of the import.
